After building a successful business in Montclair, Toast will be expanding to Cookman Ave.  in Asbury Park.  Amy Russo Harrigan recently bought the vacant space next to Brickwall, which once housed the Market in The Middle restaurant. Toast Asbury Park will be exactly what's worked so well in Montclair: breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch. She's planning to open around by summer 2011. Russo Harrigan feels this will be a significant addition to downtown Asbury Park.  The slogan for Toast is "Peace, Love and Pancakes" and she is hoping to convey that in the space she is building on Cookman Ave.  Toast has a  very cozy, traditional lunch, breakfast, and brunch, however always with a twist. It's always the freshest ingredients. It's quality, quality, quality.

Just like in Montclair Amy Russo Harrigan hopes to greet customers with her big, infectious smile, and instantly make them feel right at home in the beautiful space she’s creating at Toast Asbury Park. With doors that open onto the street, rustic woodwork and ultra-comfortable brown leather banquettes, Toast is a place where both families and business people can come, have a great meal and feel relaxed.

Russo and the Toast staff have created a varied, exciting breakfast, lunch, and brunch menu that puts a new twist on some old favorites. Eggs benedict gets a make-over with a crab cake and a perfectly balanced hollandaise sauce. French toast made with egg bread is stuffed with delicately sweetened cream cheese and topped with sliced strawberries.

Toast also offers a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan breakfast and lunch items. These include vegetarian sandwiches and soups, vegan muffins, tofu scrambles and much more.  A separate Toast menu listing all of our vegetarian items is available at the restaurant and on-line.
